About the position

Midwest Climate Solutions is seeking a seasoned Vice President and General Manager to oversee all business operations, drive sales growth, and manage financial performance across three shops in Eastern Illinois. This role requires a strategic and operational leader with extensive experience in HVAC and Plumbing, a proven record of business development, and the ability to manage large teams effectively. The position is critical in aligning company goals with broader platform objectives and involves direct reporting to the Operating Company CEO and matrixed reporting to the Platform Company Managing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations across three shops, ensuring operational excellence and process optimization.
  • Drive sales strategies and implement new sales processes to meet growth objectives.
  • Oversee budgets, P&L, and EBITDA to achieve financial targets.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams with a focus on customer satisfaction and efficiency.
  • Partner with private equity and strategic partners to implement growth strategies.
  • Lead system integration efforts with the platform company to align workflows and reporting structures.
  • Utilize and optimize Service Titan for streamlined operations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Support potential mergers and acquisitions, providing strategic input and assisting in integration as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing industries, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in business operations, sales growth, and financial management.
  • Exceptional people management and team development abilities.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with private equity operations, Service Titan experience, EOS, M&A exposure, and platform company integration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Service Titan is highly desirable.
  • M&A experience and familiarity with private equity are valuable assets.
