About the position

The Vice President and Head of B2B Applications Growth at Mastercard is a high-profile, customer-facing role focused on developing innovative B2B payment solutions and partnerships. This position involves collaborating with leading B2B software companies to enhance Mastercard's digital assets capabilities, particularly in cross-border payments. The role requires a deep understanding of the B2B payments landscape, strategic partnership development, and effective collaboration with internal teams to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Mastercard's products and capabilities in the B2B payments space.
  • Establish partnerships with B2B enterprise solutions to integrate Mastercard's offerings in digital assets and cross-border payments.
  • Understand key partner strategies and assist in developing their roadmap and business case for implementing Mastercard solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to present a unified approach to partners.
  • Lead partner proposals and deal execution, including business case development, negotiations, and legal contracting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances within the B2B payments or fintech sectors.
  • Proven track record of establishing and scaling partnerships with enterprise software companies that have B2B payment capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border payment processes, international banking, and currency exchange mechanisms.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partnership opportunities that align with company objectives.
  • Experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex agreements with large enterprise organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the payments industry, including KYC, AML, and data protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to navigate compliance considerations in partnership agreements and implementations.
  • Solid understanding of payment technologies, APIs, integration processes, and the technical aspects of B2B payment solutions.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the digital assets space and the latest developments, especially on the institutional side.
  • Strong leadership and executive communication skills to mobilize and influence cross-functional teams.
