About the position

The Vice President and Head of B2B Applications Growth at Mastercard is a high-profile, customer-facing role focused on developing partnerships with leading B2B software companies to create innovative products and solutions for B2B and cross-border commerce. This position involves building relationships with key enterprise software providers, understanding their strategies, and integrating Mastercard's solutions into their offerings. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and leading all aspects of partner proposals and deal execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Mastercard's products and capabilities in the B2B payments space.
  • Establish partnerships with B2B enterprise solutions to incorporate Mastercard solutions in digital assets and cross-border payments.
  • Understand key partner strategies and assist in developing roadmaps and business cases for implementing Mastercard products.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to present a unified approach to partners.
  • Lead partner proposals and deal execution, including business case development, negotiations, and legal contracting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic alliances within the B2B payments or fintech sectors.
  • Proven track record of establishing and scaling partnerships with enterprise software companies that have B2B payment capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of cross-border payment processes, international banking, and currency exchange mechanisms.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partnership opportunities that align with company objectives.
  • Experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex agreements with large enterprise organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the payments industry, including KYC, AML, and data protection laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Solid understanding of payment technologies, APIs, integration processes, and the technical aspects of B2B payment solutions.
  • Experience or knowledge of the digital assets space and the latest developments, especially on the institutional side.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.
