About the position

The Vice President, CFIUS Security Lead at Vonage is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring compliance with CFIUS requirements following the acquisition by Ericsson. This position oversees the Business Critical Transformation (BCT) team, guiding the organization on CFIUS matters, and ensuring adherence to all terms and conditions. The VP will collaborate with various teams, including legal and information security, to maintain and improve controls protecting sensitive assets, while also acting as a liaison with auditors and executive leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the organization on all CFIUS matters and ensure compliance with all CFIUS terms and conditions.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the BCT Team, focusing on CFIUS compliance in vendor management, regulatory, operations, and support.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team for accurate and timely compliance reporting to the CFIUS Monitoring Agency (CMAs).
  • Ensure controls are in place to protect Vonage's sensitive assets, including US person records and source code.
  • Accountable for investigations and compliance reporting of potential violations.
  • Act as liaison with auditors and deliver all requested audit artifacts.
  • Oversee collaboration between Vonage and Ericsson to ensure guidelines are met.
  • Support and act on behalf of the Vonage Security Officer.
  • Meet routinely with executive leaders and board members on CFIUS matters.
  • Approve all corporate CFIUS-related communications and training.
  • Act in a CFIUS advisory role on new products and services entering the Vonage environment.
  • Coach, mentor, and train team members to establish quality, accuracy, and accountability.

Requirements

  • 15 years of relevant experience in Information Security, IT, Software Engineering, Compliance, or Regulatory fields.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge and experience with CFIUS Security compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across functions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and self-directed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs.
