About the position

The Vice President, Chief of Staff - Business Unit Manager - COO is a senior role within the Chief of Staff team, responsible for supporting various projects and processes. This position requires a seasoned professional who can apply in-depth knowledge to improve workflows and processes, evaluate complex issues, and influence decisions through effective communication and leadership. The role involves significant project management responsibilities, including planning, coordinating, and delivering key projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Assist with business case development, review business requirements, and conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies.
  • Finalize project plans with stakeholders and track closely for successful project delivery.
  • Implement advanced strategies for gathering, reviewing, and analyzing data requirements.
  • Support financial reporting and planning activities.
  • Meet with end users to understand business needs, write requirements, and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Review Functional Requirements to ensure Technology meets end users' needs.
  • Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups.
  • Partner with Technology, Product, and Operations Management Teams to prioritize key project deliveries.
  • Master strategic business process modeling and quality management techniques.
  • Apply best practices for effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with Technology on project delays, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Perform project status reporting to stakeholders and partners.
  • Prepare post-project MIS, lessons learned, and conduct continuous process improvement reviews.
  • Understand compliance and regulatory requirements within the banking environment.
  • Work with regional and global teams to implement best standards across teams.
  • Ensure creation of program plans, stakeholder management plans, and issue logs.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience managing or participating in projects and teams within the finance sector.
  • 4 years in a professional management role.
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
