About the position
The Vice President of Data Infrastructure, Engineering, Products, and Business Intelligence at Visa is responsible for leading and managing the data platforms, infrastructure, data engineering, product management, and business intelligence functions within the Global Data Office. This role is crucial for democratizing data and analytics across Visa and its clients, focusing on unlocking the value of data to drive business growth and innovation. The position involves collaboration with various teams to define strategies, enhance data capabilities, and ensure the effective use of data across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data platforms and infrastructure for the Global Data Office.
- Collaborate with the Data Technology team to define and drive data technology capabilities.
- Enhance data engineering tasks for increased efficiency and innovation.
- Define and execute the vision and strategy for data products, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Oversee data management and ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility from various sources.
- Design and implement advanced analytics, reporting systems, and dashboards for actionable insights.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams in data engineering, product management, and business intelligence.
Requirements
- 12+ years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or 10+ years with an advanced degree, or 8+ years with a PhD.
- 15+ years of experience with an advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of leadership experience in payments or processing solutions management.
- In-depth understanding of the product development lifecycle and market research techniques.
- Strong business acumen, including financial management and strategic planning.
- Experience with service architecture and developing scalable technology products.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
