This role is instrumental in shaping future-focused engineering strategies that align with the evolving demands of the industry and our company's objectives. In this role, the Vice President will develop and implement forward-thinking engineering strategies that align with the company's goals and respond to market demands, with a strong emphasis on automation and advanced technological solutions. The individual will lead and manage the engineering team to drive innovation and the development of high-quality engineering solutions, prioritizing the integration of cutting-edge technologies and automation practices. Ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes conform to the organization's established policies and objectives while advancing technological boundaries within the industry is crucial. Collaboration with other departments is essential to seamlessly integrate progressive engineering solutions with business development and customer service initiatives, enhancing operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction. The Vice President will manage budgeting and resource allocation among engineering projects, ensuring optimal investment in automation technologies and innovative practices. Championing a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement, the individual will encourage the team to embrace and pioneer new engineering methods and tools. Maintaining and expanding relationships with professional and regulatory organizations, vendors, and contractors will focus on partnerships that enhance technological capabilities and innovation. Compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, particularly in the implementation and operation of new technologies and automated systems, is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Required, with a preference for majors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering to provide a strong technical foundation.
  • Advanced Degree: An MBA, MS, or PhD in a related field is highly desirable, enhancing the candidate's strategic and analytical capabilities, particularly in areas relevant to advanced technologies and automation.
  • Extensive experience in senior engineering roles, demonstrating progressive responsibility, preferably within the manufacturing industry where automation and advanced technologies are utilized.
  • Proven success in leading diverse engineering teams, with a focus on fostering innovation and implementing cutting-edge engineering solutions.
  • Strong technical knowledge in modern manufacturing technologies and processes, including automation, robotics, and the use of Artificial Systems Intelligence (ASI).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex engineering projects from concept through completion, incorporating advanced technologies and efficiency practices.
  • Proficiency in site selection, facility planning, and expansion projects, with a focus on integrating automated systems and sustainable practices.
  • Solid experience in overseeing the construction of technologically advanced facilities, from planning and design to procurement and construction management.
  • Experience in evaluating and integrating engineering operations during mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on technological alignment and operational synergy.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, necessary for driving technological adoption and process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • A strong track record of initiating and leading change and continuous improvement efforts, particularly related to the adoption of new technologies.
  • Focused on achieving significant business outcomes, leveraging engineering expertise to deliver measurable improvements in performance and efficiency.
