About the position

The Vice President of Finance at Publicis Media Exchange (PMX) is responsible for overseeing all finance functions across multiple business units. This role involves managing monthly close processes, preparing budgets and forecasts, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency. The position requires strong leadership in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), as well as the ability to mentor teams and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly close processes under tight deadlines, including journal approval and reporting package review.
  • Prepare monthly and annual budgets and forecasts within strict timelines.
  • Review revenue by client to ensure compliance with IAS standards.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for management and the Groupe.
  • Oversee audit controls for each agency to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Client Finance teams on accounts receivable and payable matters.
  • Analyze monthly financial metrics and share insights with senior finance leadership.
  • Manage relationships with internal and shared service teams to facilitate operations.
  • Oversee ERP enhancements and ensure team training on new processes.
  • Partner with sister agency teams for intercompany reporting and transaction elimination.
  • Mentor FP&A teams on accounting best practices and process improvements.

Requirements

  • CPA or MBA required.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in finance.
  • Strong FP&A experience with multiple business units and monthly consolidation.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial reporting for executive management.
  • Experience with vendor and client contracts.
  • Proficiency in complex ERP systems, preferably SAP, and other financial systems like HFM and Blackline.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
  • Experience managing audits and financial compliance.
  • Initiative to automate financial processes.
  • Awareness of Sales and Use Tax/Income Tax computations.
