The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis will report directly to the Executive VP of Finance and will play a crucial role in providing financial and operational forecasting as well as strategic analysis for all operations and subsidiaries of Envoy. This position is designed for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who possesses a strong background in both Financial Planning and Analysis and Financial Accounting. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various departments including Sales, Operations, Strategy, Human Resources, and Logistics, as well as other senior management teams to ensure that financial objectives are met and exceeded. In this role, the Vice President will be responsible for directing the preparation of periodic forecasts and identifying key metrics that gauge performance. This includes assessing the relative importance of various business drivers and making actionable recommendations to management. The position will also involve supporting the long-term business plan by developing financial models that project and evaluate the results of the plan. Leadership and support will be provided to complete the annual operating plan, which includes setting targets, coordinating events, consolidating inputs, and evaluating requests from senior management and teams. The Vice President will review monthly results, analyze variances, and provide explanations along with recommended actions to senior management. They will oversee the preparation of monthly financial and operational reports, ensuring that commentary regarding actual performance is included. Additionally, the role requires leading the preparation of periodic financial forecasts, conducting analysis, and preparing schedules that support reviews with various business units and senior management. The Vice President will also participate in quarterly and annual reviews of business performance and create ad hoc analyses of key metrics to improve overall business performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the education industry and economic environment, allowing them to assess potential impacts and formulate strategic recommendations. They will also be responsible for hiring, leading, coaching, and developing staff, while providing proactive analytics and reporting to identify sales and margin trends, customer profitability, and other special projects aimed at enhancing operational and financial performance. Acting as a liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations will also be a key responsibility of this position.
