About the position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to join our team as a Vice President, Functional Genomics to work in our Rockville, MD labs. As a Vice President you will be responsible for building and leading development and application of functional genomics strategies to support drug discovery and development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of scientists establishing a Functional Genomics and PerturbSeq dataset
• Develop a premier functional genomics platform from Champions Tumor bank
• Execute large scale functional genomic screens
• Mentor and lead junior scientists

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of and experience with modern molecular and cellular biology techniques, preferably experience performing functional genomics
• Experience project-managing out-sourced work with CROs
• A solid background in human genetics
• PhD and/or 5-10+ years of relevant experience in functional genomics and/or molecular genetics
