About the position

The Vice President, Fund Reporting Manager II Alternative Investments at BNY Mellon is responsible for overseeing the Financial Statement Reporting team. This role involves managing staff, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports, and maintaining relationships with clients and auditors. The position is pivotal in meeting regulatory standards and deadlines while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage 3-5 staff employees preparing and reviewing financial reports for assigned clients and funds.
• Direct and set priorities for processes ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial statement disclosures.
• Resolve escalated issues from team members and oversee relationships with auditors and clients.
• Ensure financial reporting production cycle meets client and regulatory standards and deadlines.
• Review financials for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and disclosure requirements.
• Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize their contributions and professional growth.
• Manage multiple teams of Fund Reporting staff and ensure achievement of team goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 10+ years of total work experience with at least 5+ years of management experience preferred.
• Experience in investment company, private equity, and/or hedge fund financial reporting and accounting preferred.
