About the position

At Razorfish, we are seeking a Vice President, Group Creative Director (Art Direction) to lead creative initiatives for one of the largest tech brands globally. This role is pivotal in shaping visual narratives and merchandising products across various digital platforms. As a leader, you will report directly to a Group Creative Director and will be responsible for guiding a talented team of Copywriters, Art Directors, UX Designers, and other creatives from concept to execution. Your work will be seen by over a billion people across more than 100 countries, making this a high-stakes and rewarding position. In this role, you will be tasked with interpreting briefs and transforming them into compelling user journeys that drive conversion. You will manage large teams and projects, ensuring that every asset aligns with the overarching brand strategy. Your ability to advocate for your creative vision will be crucial as you partner with clients to advance their eCommerce objectives. This position requires a blend of creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking, as you will be at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions that resonate with diverse audiences. We are looking for someone with a strong portfolio that showcases your experience in leading teams to create impactful digital experiences for major brands. You should possess a well-rounded knowledge of various disciplines involved in brand experience creation, including design, copy, interactive development, and content strategy. Empathy and collaboration are key traits we value, as you will be working closely with a diverse group of individuals to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of visual stories and merchandising products across digital experiences.
  • Manage and guide a team of Copywriters, Art Directors, UX Designers, and other creatives from idea to execution.
  • Interpret briefs and requirements into clear and compelling user journeys that drive conversion.
  • Oversee large teams and projects, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
  • Advocate for creative work and partner with clients to enhance their eCommerce business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Designer/Art Director in a digital agency environment.
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing creative and design teams.
  • A focused portfolio showcasing compelling work in merchandising digital experiences for major brands.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in e-commerce and brand experience design.
  • Broad knowledge of design, copy, interactive development, and content strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with big box retailers, fashion, apparel, and premium consumer goods.
  • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration and understanding within teams.
