About the position

As the Vice President, Group Creative Director (Art Direction) at Razorfish, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narrative for one of the largest tech brands globally. Your work will reach an audience of over a billion people across more than 100 countries, making this a high-stakes position that demands both creativity and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for leading a talented team of designers, copywriters, and UX professionals, guiding them from the initial concept phase through to execution. Your leadership will ensure that every project aligns with the overarching brand strategy and meets the high standards expected by our clients. In this role, you will be tasked with interpreting briefs and transforming them into compelling user journeys that not only engage but also drive conversion. You will advocate for your creative vision, collaborating closely with clients to ensure that the solutions you provide effectively advance their eCommerce objectives. Your ability to manage large teams and complex projects will be crucial, as you will oversee the creation of various assets that contribute to a cohesive brand experience. Your extensive experience in the digital agency landscape, particularly in e-commerce and brand experience design, will be essential. You will need to demonstrate thought leadership and a deep understanding of the various disciplines involved in creating impactful brand experiences. Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of visual stories and merchandising products across .com experiences.
  • Manage and guide large teams and projects to ensure alignment with brand strategy.
  • Transform briefs and guidelines into clear, compelling user journeys that drive conversion.
  • Communicate and advocate for creative work, partnering with clients to advance their eCommerce business.
  • Oversee the execution of projects from idea to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Designer/Art Director in a digital agency environment.
  • 5+ years of experience overseeing creative and design teams.
  • A focused portfolio showcasing recent work with big brands in e-commerce and brand experience design.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in e-commerce and brand experience design.
  • A rounded knowledge of design, copy, interactive development, and content strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with design-centric big box retailers and premium consumer goods.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead with empathy.
