About the position

The Vice President of Growth Marketing at MyFitnessPal is responsible for driving comprehensive growth initiatives that encompass both customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing. This strategic role aims to maximize the reach and impact of MyFitnessPal's platform by developing a cohesive, data-driven marketing strategy that enhances user engagement, retention, and revenue. The VP will lead a high-performing team, oversee marketing budgets, and collaborate across various departments to ensure alignment with the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Unified Growth Strategy encompassing both performance and lifecycle marketing.
  • Drive High-impact Performance Marketing Strategies through paid media, search, social, and in-app marketing efforts.
  • Design and implement Lifecycle Marketing Programs across email, push notifications, and personalized user journeys.
  • Shape and innovate MyFitnessPal's long-term growth strategy by identifying emerging trends.
  • Leverage data and analytics to create a learning framework for campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Customer Happiness to align growth initiatives with user needs.
  • Champion the integration of AI and machine learning into growth marketing strategies.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal teams to align growth strategies with business goals.
  • Manage and allocate budgets for growth marketing experiments.
  • Lead and develop a talented marketing team, establishing a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in growth marketing with a proven track record in performance and lifecycle marketing.
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities to translate complex data into actionable growth strategies.
  • Expertise in digital marketing channels and lifecycle strategies, including performance media and CRM.
  • Proficiency in analytics and marketing technology platforms such as Amplitude, Tableau, and Braze.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate growth strategies to stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
