About the position

The Vice President, Head of Marketing at BioNTech is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the commercialization strategies of the company's oncology products in the US market. This position requires extensive knowledge of the biotech landscape, particularly in oncology, and involves leading a team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that maximize market penetration and revenue growth. The role also emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation of marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, including product positioning, messaging, segmentation, and channel strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze market, customer, and competitor trends, incorporating insights into marketing plans.
  • Provide strategic direction to cross-functional groups for the development and implementation of strategic and executional plans.
  • Prioritize, develop, and implement market development tactics that drive knowledge and awareness of unmet needs among customers.
  • Leverage understanding of oncology healthcare customers to inform the go-to-market approach that drives customer behavior change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required with at least 15 years of progressive US experience in executive-level marketing roles in a biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical company.
  • Successful history of developing and executing marketing strategy.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills to effectively communicate strategic vision to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Thorough understanding of US regulatory requirements and compliance standards governing the marketing of biotech products.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA with Launch and customer-facing experience.
  • Experience with targeted oncology product experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a smaller, rapidly growing company.
