About the position

The Vice President I, Loans Onboarding Specialist at BNY Mellon is responsible for leading the onboarding processes for new and existing clients, particularly in relation to launching new CLO or fund transactions. This role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure operational standards are met and to enhance the client experience. The position also involves managing a team, contributing to business development, and maintaining relationships with business teams to address client needs and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding processes of new & existing clients as they navigate through BNY whilst launching new CLO or fund transactions.
  • Maintain familiarity with industry developments and best practices.
  • Partner with client services, sales, legal and other teams to implement digital adoptions and ensure operational standards are adhered to.
  • Leverage an in-depth understanding of BNY product services and offerings by providing this information to individuals and clients.
  • Coordinate and direct the daily operations of a client onboarding.
  • Contribute to maintaining metrics within the Loans Onboarding Team.
  • Resolve complex or non-routine client issues or inquiries as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with business teams to report client trends and needs.
  • Manage internal activities and initiatives designed to improve the client experience.
  • Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, professional growth and ability to function effectively as a team.
  • Responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; MBA preferred.
  • 4-5 years of total work experience with at least 0-1 years of management experience preferred.
  • Experience in an operational area and/or client services preferred.
