About the position

The Vice President of Inside Sales & Account Management is a senior leadership role focused on driving revenue retention and growth within the company's existing client base. This position manages over $50 million in annual recurring revenue and leads a high-performing team dedicated to maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring contract renewals, and identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to client success and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of sales and account management professionals to achieve revenue retention and client growth objectives.
  • Own the responsibility for maintaining over $50 million in annual recurring revenue, ensuring long-term client retention.
  • Provide leadership, management, and accountability (LMA) by setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and monitoring team performance against set KPIs.
  • Engage directly with clients on escalated issues or high-level negotiations to ensure satisfaction and resolve any challenges.
  • Develop and implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling services and products to existing clients.
  • Oversee contract negotiations with clients, ensuring terms that are favorable to the company and aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product, and finance to deliver the best solutions to clients and achieve company-wide goals.
  • Analyze customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas of potential risk.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, developing talent and maintaining high levels of motivation and accountability.
  • Ensure excellent client relationships are maintained by overseeing regular check-ins, de-escalating issues, and delivering value.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in a VP or senior-level role, preferably in Inside Sales, Account Management, or Client Success, managing significant revenue portfolios.
  • Strong background in managing large-scale client relationships and revenue retention, ideally with experience overseeing over $50 million in ARR.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and problem resolution with senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent soft skills with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a team while managing client expectations and relationships.
  • Highly analytical with experience in using data to drive business decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with product, marketing, and finance teams.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives both internally and externally.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
