About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President in the Fund Finance Group, responsible for providing financing to private equity funds and asset managers through structured credit facilities. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, structuring deals, conducting credit analysis, and maintaining client relationships. The Vice President will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure successful execution of financing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day job responsibilities for new deals including creating pitches/term sheets and preparing borrowing base calculations in Excel.
  • Lead due diligence meetings and act as the lead banker on driving internal underwriting and credit approval processes.
  • Work closely with internal and external counsel to negotiate legal documentation.
  • Understand client financing needs and provide tailored solutions including structuring transaction deal terms.
  • Maintain client relationships for existing deals, ensuring all deal requirements are met and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Negotiate, structure, and execute amendments and other facility modifications for existing deals.
  • Support team members in collateral analysis and compliance tracking.
  • Monitor financial performance and internal credit ratings of borrowers and limited partners.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Investment Banking experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or Engineering (or MBA).
  • Experience reading, negotiating, and interpreting legal documents.
  • Deal origination and credit underwriting experience.
  • Experience in structured finance or investment banking is preferred.
  • Direct client interaction experience, including leading relevant transaction elements and interacting with senior decision makers.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with originating and monitoring subscription facilities, asset backed finance, securitization, or other structured products.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with private equity funds.
  • Experience writing formulas and organizing, analyzing, and formatting data in Excel.
