About the position

We are seeking a talented and experienced Vice President, Lead Investment Banker to join our Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) team, specifically within the Industrial Infrastructure and Environmental Services Investment Banking Team. This team is part of Wells Fargo's Corporate and Investment Industrials Group, which has a strong reputation built over 20+ years in the industry. In this role, you will be responsible for providing meaningful advisory and capital markets origination and execution experience to our corporate, private equity, and middle market clients. You will work closely with our well-recognized clients, assisting in driving strategic dialogue and fostering strong relationships. As a Vice President, you will also play a crucial role in leading and developing our high-performing associates and analysts, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles. This position offers a clear path for promotion within our practice, allowing you to advance your career while contributing to the success of our clients and the firm. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential, as is a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities

  • Provide advisory and capital markets origination and execution experience to corporate, private equity, and middle market clients.
  • Drive strategic dialogue with leading clients and assist in their financial needs.
  • Lead and develop high-performing associates and analysts within the team.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Communicate complex material effectively to clients and team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Investment Banking experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Strong track record of originating and executing M&A and capital markets transactions.
  • Ability to lead junior staff and mentor them effectively.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Industrials Services is preferred.
  • Highly developed writing skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business development strategies and goals.
