About the position

This role involves creating and implementing an expansion strategy to diversify service offerings and attract new customers, all within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities

  • Chart and execute the future course of the contract manufacturing business, aligning it with the company's overall mission and goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies to manage a high volume of small and large orders simultaneously.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to ensure consistent delivery of quality, cost-effective solutions for customers.
  • Enforce rigorous quality and compliance standards (ISO 13485, FDA regulations, etc.) to guarantee efficient and safe delivery of medical devices.
  • Drive process innovations to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance delivery timelines.
  • Optimize resource allocation, production scheduling, and supply chain management for operational success.
  • Design and implement scalable operational processes and workflows to execute contract manufacturing orders with precision, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Foster strong client partnerships, intuitively grasp their requirements, and deliver top-tier customer service.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional operations team to deliver exceptional results.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop staff to ensure a well-rounded and capable team equipped to meet growing business demands.

Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in business development or customer-facing roles within a manufacturing context preferred.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related process improvement methodologies preferred.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in operational leadership within the medical device manufacturing or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, quality systems, and industry standards.
  • Project management expertise, and proficiency in overseeing complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time and on budget.
  • Cross-functional collaboration, the ability to work effectively with different departments to achieve business objectives.
  • Self-starter who can operate independently within a small medical device company.
