About the position

The Vice President, Media Analytics and Insights at Spark Foundry is responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to enhance the media planning, investment, and measurement processes for Publicis Media clients. This role involves designing and implementing modern measurement plans and roadmaps, serving as a subject matter expert in analytics and technology, and providing strategic direction for digital reporting and insights. The successful candidate will intersect consulting skills, data, advanced analytics, and marketing strategy to drive improved business results for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver best-in-class media attribution roadmaps, including measuring video and digital multi-touch attribution.
  • Manage client data ingestion for advanced attribution and modeling.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and groups, facilitating synergy between the Strategy and Investment functions.
  • Drive a culture of ‘always on' data driven decision making that institutionalizes the use of consumer-driven analytics in media/marketing investment planning.
  • Grow product delivery and agency revenue organically by cross selling and up selling analytical products across client divisions, markets & categories.
  • Scope and direct advanced analytics projects to ensure deliverables answer valuable client and media team questions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in media analytics, at an agency, on client side, or a combination of both.
  • Strong understanding and experience with media buying, KPI development, and technology practices during campaign planning and execution.
  • Experience with media measurement tools including 3rd party ad serving, syndicated research, and web analytics.
  • Strong client management/consultative experience both presenting and resolving issues.
  • Extensive experience leading and managing marketing technology projects from ideation through installation.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to mine data for actionable insights.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills to translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with programmatic audience buying concepts and execution.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with statistical modeling software (MATLAB, R, SAS, SPSS, Python) and database tools (Amazon Web, SQL, MS Access, Excel PivotTables, MS SQL Server).
  • Very good understanding of traditional and digital media data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with statistical modeling software such as MATLAB, R, SAS, SPSS, Python.
  • Familiarity with enterprise business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, Tableau, or Datorama.
