About the position

The Vice President of Clinical Operations at Theoria Medical is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical operations across multiple facilities. This position is designed for a seasoned professional with a strong background in healthcare management, particularly in clinical settings. The VP will lead the day-to-day operations, ensuring that exceptional patient care is delivered consistently while maintaining high service quality standards. The role requires a strategic mindset to align clinical operations with the organization's goals, driving growth and operational excellence. In this position, the VP will be tasked with developing and refining clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to uphold the highest standards of care. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, as well as accreditation standards, to safeguard patient safety and institutional integrity. The VP will also monitor and enhance clinical performance metrics, focusing on patient outcomes and operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making. The role involves leading, mentoring, and developing a team of clinical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The VP will oversee the implementation of new clinical programs and service lines, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal resource utilization. Additionally, the VP will serve as the primary point of contact for clinical operations during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring successful integration with organizational goals. The position also requires staying informed about the latest healthcare trends and innovations to maintain Theoria Medical's leadership in clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all clinical operations across Theoria Medical facilities, ensuring exceptional patient care and service quality.
  • Design, implement, and refine clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain uniformity and uphold high standards.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align clinical operations with strategic goals, driving growth and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations and accreditation standards to safeguard patient safety.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and enhance clinical performance metrics, including patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of clinical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of new clinical programs and service lines into existing operations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clinical operations during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring successful integration.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient care through evidence-based practices and innovative care models.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support clinical operations and optimize resource allocation.
  • Proactively address and resolve clinical operational issues in collaboration with facility leaders and clinical staff.
  • Stay informed of the latest healthcare trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in healthcare, nursing, or a related field (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA).
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing clinical operations.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-site clinical operations, preferably within post-acute or primary care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire clinical teams with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including periodic reporting to the Miami office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for critical decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with telemedicine and remote patient monitoring is a plus.
