About the position

The Vice President of Clinical Operations at Suicide Prevention & Crisis Service, Inc. is an experienced leader with crisis response clinical expertise, dedicated to ensuring 24-hour service excellence in a crisis center setting. This role involves providing supervision and oversight for organizational operations and crisis response service departments, as well as managing the organization's management team. The VP will serve on the Executive Leadership Team and play a critical role in supporting the President/Chief Executive Officer in operating Crisis Services' mission. In the absence of the President/CEO, the VP is responsible for clinical operations in partnership with Executive and Senior Leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across organizational boundaries to provide a strong continuum of care for Crisis Services clients.
  • Responsible for planning and executing projects as assigned by the President/CEO.
  • Monitor community service needs to assess, plan and address access to the organization's clinical services.
  • Direct, oversee, and evaluate department activities, policies, procedures, services, and outcomes to meet organizational goals.
  • Manage communication and flow of information within the organization to engage employees and promote teamwork.
  • Promote a trauma-informed, solution-focused leadership culture.
  • Lead/facilitate cross-functional projects and build trusting relationships.
  • Determine/implement efficiencies within workflows of the organization's 24-hour operations.
  • Provide executive oversight for all day-to-day clinical and program operations.
  • Serve as lead contact for critical client or community emergency situations.
  • Oversee the Management team's onboarding, orientation, professional development and training.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.
  • Conduct monthly Management meetings focused on effective management and leadership skills.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the Quality Assurance Staff Committee.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by responding to consumer concerns and complaints.
  • Implement trauma-informed principles and practices in all Crisis Services work.
  • Assist with technology projects that improve client's experience.
  • Utilize data analytics to build performance dashboards and evaluation tools.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for efficient delivery of clinical services.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with CWA Local 1122 officials regarding contract matters.
  • Collaborate with executive, administrative and development staff in grant writing and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners/stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related clinical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure required, preferably LMSW, LCSW or LMHC.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of senior management work experience.
  • Experience in suicide prevention, crisis intervention, emergency mental health services, substance abuse, and trauma services.
  • Experience developing and implementing clinical programs policies and protocols.
  • Track record of effective leadership and managing multidisciplinary teams.

Benefits
