About the position

The Vice President of Clinical Operations at Medical City Fort Worth is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient operation of the hospital, ensuring optimal patient flow and favorable outcomes through collaboration with interdisciplinary staff. This leadership role involves applying best practices in clinical operations, managing various nursing areas, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations while promoting growth and innovation within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effective and efficient operation of the hospital.
  • Ensure optimal patient flow throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to achieve favorable patient outcomes.
  • Respond to occupancy bed demands with action-oriented steps.
  • Develop and oversee high quality, cost-effective hospital programs.
  • Ensure efficient and timely throughput throughout the continuum of care.
  • Assist the CNO in delivering quality patient care and improving standards of care delivery.
  • Exercise leadership and management responsibility over all functions within the management scope.
  • Maintain knowledge of social, economic, legal, and regulatory issues impacting healthcare delivery.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
  • Current RN licensure by the State of Texas or from a Compact State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Charge Nurse or supervisory management experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical practice required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a Magnet Designated hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
