About the position

The Vice President of Commercial Operations at Intellia is a leadership role responsible for establishing and leading the infrastructure, processes, and technologies necessary for the successful commercialization of gene editing therapies. The position requires a self-starter who embodies the company's core values and is driven to achieve excellence in collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the Commercial Operations function by recruiting top industry talent.
  • Serve as a member of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing to commercial and operational plans.
  • Oversee field effectiveness and operations, including territory planning and sales performance tracking.
  • Lead field force sizing and deployment in collaboration with sales and marketing leadership.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of sales tools, including CRM and data analytics.
  • Oversee market insights, analytics, and competitive intelligence to deliver data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop databases and infrastructure to support analytics, insights, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to the leadership team through analysis and market research.
  • Develop competitive compensation plans to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee meeting planning and marketing services for scientific meetings and events.
  • Manage commercial training and development teams, including sales training platforms.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions including Sales, Marketing, and IT.
  • Oversee external vendors and consultants for Commercial Operational platforms.
  • Manage the annual budget for the Commercial Operations organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, and operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 5 years of management experience leading high-performance teams.
  • Experience working in rare diseases.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to influence senior management.
  • Exceptional skills in planning, prioritization, and execution.
  • Organized and flexible with the ability to change direction when needed.
  • Self-starter and team player with a confident and creative approach.
