About the position
The Vice President of Construction will oversee operational strategy, manage project execution, and uphold client satisfaction for custom residential construction projects. This key leadership role will guide the construction management team and partner closely with company leaders to ensure efficient operations, project delivery, and profitability of single-family home construction projects. This is an opportunity to join an established and highly awarded Twin City custom home builder as a key member of their leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team that specializes in building custom homes, focusing on performance reviews, professional growth, incentive programs, disciplinary actions, and recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Manage residential construction project budgeting, bidding, and document control while attending client meetings, supervising project managers, overseeing change orders, purchases, and quality control to ensure standards and deadlines are met.
- Maintain strong client relationships and collaboration while presenting project options, budgets, milestones, and general project updates.
- Participate in budget development and management, quarterly and annual budgeting, and review and approval of budgets to ensure adequate P&L performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in residential construction management
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Demonstrated project management skills with residential construction projects
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and ensure their satisfaction
- Leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
