About the position

The Vice President of Consulting Services for the Houston metro market at CGI is responsible for leading and growing the consulting business within this expanding market. This role encompasses strategy development, service delivery, business development, client relationship management, and ensuring client satisfaction while driving revenue and member growth. The VP will leverage existing relationships in the Houston area and foster a culture of mentorship and strategic thinking within their team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of professionals, providing mentorship and development opportunities.
  • Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams.
  • Lead account strategy, account planning, and budget planning, managing profitability of assigned accounts.
  • Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings, ensuring accountability for winning competitive proposals.
  • Oversee service delivery to clients, striving to continually improve the quality of service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 15+ years of IT and Consulting Services experience; Advanced Degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated performance owning a P&L and managing a team.
  • Extensive business development and strategy experience within high-performing organizations.
  • Proven history of winning large, competitive IT and Management consulting contracts.
  • Solid relationships with key commercial contracting personnel in CGI's core business lines.
  • Ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships within a firm, leveraging technology differentiators.
  • Ability to identify emerging business trends and make strategy recommendations to senior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and provide business development leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong organization change management skills related to software development and operational delivery.
  • Proven ability to work in a structured environment in a large professional services firm.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems and system implementations/integrations (e.g., ERP, CRM, HR Systems).
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their applicable use in the commercial environment.
