About the position

The Vice President of Facilities Operations at Crothall Healthcare is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, direction, evaluation, and control of facilities operations within the healthcare sector. This position plays a crucial role in achieving operational and financial goals while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Vice President will lead a team of Regional Directors and Managers, fostering effective relationships with hospital clients and promoting excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall planning, direction, evaluation, and control of facilities operations units.
  • Guide and motivate Regional Directors and other managers and associates.
  • Establish and maintain effective customer/client rapport with hospital clients.
  • Ensure compliance with government and agency standards and profitability of the region.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews and site visit reports.
  • Manage planning, budget analysis, and reporting for the region.
  • Conduct regional director audits at each client hospital site twice a year.
  • Support new business initiatives and start-ups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, preferably in engineering.
  • Ten years of multi-unit experience in facilities management in an acute care hospital.
  • Experience in P&L management.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Union experience preferred.
  • Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.
  • Contract-managed service experience preferred.
