The Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Nash Community College is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, facilities, human resources, and safety of the institution. This leadership role involves strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, and ensuring the effective management of college resources to support the institution's mission and goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the President in achieving the institutional mission by providing leadership and expertise.
• Supervise the Associate Vice President of Finance and oversee all accounting and payroll activities.
• Supervise the Director of Facilities and ensure efficient management of the Physical Plant and maintenance staff.
• Supervise the Master Gardener and groundskeeping staff to maintain campus grounds.
• Supervise the Director of Human Resources and ensure adherence to personnel policies and employee support.
• Supervise the Safety Director/Chief of Campus Police and provide necessary direction.
• Prepare, modify, and ensure compliance with NCC's budgets and financial reporting.
• Implement and comply with NCC's Cash Management Plan and review operational procedures.
• Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and physical assets.
• Serve as construction coordinator for capital asset projects and liaise with contractors and architects.
• Participate in the College's Senior Leadership Team and Administrative Council.
• Engage in College events and activities and maintain regular on-site attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of NCC.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Accounting or Business from a regionally accredited institution.
• 5 years of relevant experience in finance or a related field.
