About the position

The Vice President of Finance at ESFM, a division of Compass Group, is responsible for providing functional oversight and leadership to drive growth and efficiencies within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, and fostering a high-performance culture while collaborating with various stakeholders to improve financial results and champion safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the President in all financial matters, assisting in driving sector strategy and growth plans.
  • Cover all commercial and client matters related to the sector, understanding key contracts and working with Finance Directors to increase value.
  • Proactively highlight and manage risks and opportunities associated with the sector, ensuring timely attention by operations.
  • Maintain thorough attention to detail and be highly analytical, alerting the CFO of key issues on a timely basis.
  • Drive efficiencies across finance and commercial teams through system and process improvements.
  • Support Finance Directors and Controllers in month-end reporting, training, and reporting.
  • Assist in new business reviews, challenging key assumptions and completing post-project appraisals.
  • Ensure accurate and timely corporate reporting, coordinating budgets, forecasts, and the 3-year plan process for the sector.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels to facilitate collaboration and respect.

Requirements

  • CA / CPA Qualified with 7-10 years' experience.
  • Experience in a financial leadership role within a large and complex business.
  • Exposure to services or consumer-facing businesses, ideally with a dispersed operating model.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%.
  • Experience in a finance role within facilities management strongly desired.
  • Experience supporting financials of at least $500 million annually.

  • Experience in driving efficiencies in transactional processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering analytical tools and efficient reporting to Operations.
  • Ability to understand and apply existing and potential technologies to support business performance outcomes.
