About the position

The Vice President of Food Service Operations at the University of South Florida is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the dining experience on campus. This role involves strategic planning, effective resource management, and fostering strong relationships with clients and team members. The VPO will lead operational excellence, drive business objectives, and ensure the successful opening and ongoing management of food service operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper management of resources and distribution of services to customers.
  • Directs business to achieve high performance as measured by the company scorecard.
  • Builds relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Builds an effective and results-oriented team.
  • Participates in the sales process, aiding in presentations and negotiations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in food service operations
  • 5+ years in management
  • Experience in personnel management including hiring and supervision
  • Ability to make business decisions based on financial reports
  • Proven ability to enhance profitability and sustainability across channels
  • Demonstrates ability to work across multiple service lines.
