About the position

The Vice President of Global Operations at i-payout is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the company's operational processes and driving the operational strategy to ensure efficiency and scalability as the company expands globally. This position requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in fintech operations, capable of managing risk, ensuring compliance, and optimizing workflows to meet growing demand in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the operational strategy to support the company's long-term goals and growth plans.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement initiatives that drive efficiency, scalability, and profitability across the organization.
  • Lead, manage, and scale the operations team, ensuring that all transaction processing, reconciliation, and customer service functions are optimized for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee the entire operational workflow, from onboarding customers to transaction settlement, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
  • Implement robust process improvement frameworks, leveraging automation, AI, and other technologies to streamline operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations (e.g., KYC, AML, PCI DSS) and maintain strong risk management practices across all operational processes.
  • Oversee internal audits, regularly evaluate operational risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address any vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, payment processors, technology vendors, and other service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational excellence.
  • Negotiate contracts with third-party vendors and drive partnership strategies that align with company goals.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, transaction processing times, error rates, customer satisfaction, and cost management.
  • Present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors, providing insights into operational performance, areas for improvement, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure uninterrupted operations in the event of system outages or unforeseen disruptions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within fintech, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Deep understanding of fintech operations, including payments, transaction processing, customer onboarding, and regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, GDPR, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems and technologies, including automation tools, payment gateways, and data analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on operational excellence.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
