About the position

The Vice President of Global Operations at MC LLC is a transformative leadership role focused on building scalable processes across the company's global operations. This position involves managing all operational aspects, ensuring efficient execution, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within a growing marine surveying and inspection company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect supervision of all operations staff, establishing goals and objectives, measuring performance, and ensuring effective customer-oriented service levels.
  • Direct and support administrative tasks for successful operation of all geographical offices and their operations.
  • Develop and implement standards that ensure efficient response time to emergency situations from clients.
  • Establish quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Translate the company's vision into actionable strategies, ensuring sustainable growth by balancing tactical execution and strategic planning.
  • Develop and lead the company to achieve higher performance and growth objectives.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, geographically distributed team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the CEO, board, and investment team to ensure alignment on priorities, resource allocation, and long-term growth objectives.
  • Set yourself up for success in a C-level role within a few years by demonstrating exceptional leadership and delivering impactful results.

Requirements

  • Proven success leading operations at a company with $20M+ in revenue or similar scale.
  • Experience in marine, Coast Guard, or naval environments is a strong plus.
  • A track record of designing and implementing systems that drive efficiency and scalability while preserving organizational culture and values.
  • Ability to align operational initiatives with financial results, demonstrating success in leveraging market opportunities.
  • Outstanding people leadership skills, with the ability to forge relationships and cultivate talent.
  • A track record of accountability, taking ownership of mistakes and leading effectively.
  • A growth mindset, seeking feedback and improvement in processes.
  • A kind, humble, and fun personality, contributing positively to a small team environment.
