About the position

The Vice-President of Growth Marketing at Groundworks will lead the company's marketing efforts to drive growth through a data-driven approach across various acquisition channels. This role is pivotal in shaping the marketing strategy to enhance customer acquisition, engagement, and retention while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create exceptional customer experiences. The position requires a strategic leader who can mentor and develop marketing talent, refine key performance indicators, and support the launch of new markets and products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a pioneering marketing strategy focused on maximizing return on investment while driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Provide leadership and direction across multi-channel growth strategy including SEM, SEO, Display, Affiliate, social paid/earned, community/influencer development, and CRM.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Experience, Technology, and Field Support to create best-in-class experiences for customers and field teams.
  • Develop a scalable vision to support the diverse Groundworks portfolio of brands, integrating local knowledge to win market share.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach the marketing team while fostering an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Refine, validate, and standardize core KPIs to meet the needs of the executive team and marketing channel leaders.
  • Support the launch into new geographic markets and new product-line extensions.
  • Lead diligence, implementation, and continuous refinement of the media mix through media mix modeling and multi-touch attribution.
  • Create strong, executive-level communication to demonstrate marketing strategies and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of consumer marketing experience, including 5+ years of leadership with direct reports across several marketing channels.
  • Strong ability to grow and coach internal marketing talent.
  • A proven track record of personal success and ambitious undertakings.
  • Experience leading change efforts in complex organizations.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to shape growth initiatives and the company.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, analyze, synthesize, recommend, and take action.
  • Expert communication, presentation, and material preparation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communication platforms.
  • Ability to travel 1-2 trips monthly to support diverse geographic footprint.
