About the position

The Vice President of Laboratory Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all laboratory functions within the organization. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while driving operational excellence and fostering innovation. The role requires strategic thinking and extensive experience in laboratory management, clinical operations, and research and development, with an emphasis on collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic vision for lab operations aligned with company goals.
• Lead and mentor lab managers and staff to promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Oversee day-to-day lab operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and safety.
• Optimize workflows and processes to enhance throughput and reduce costs.
• Ensure all laboratory practices comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GLP, GMP) and industry standards.
• Oversee audits and inspections, addressing findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the lab.
• Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies that enhance laboratory capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields (Master's preferred).
• Minimum of 10+ years of operational leadership experience across multiple department areas.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
