About the position

The Vice President of Manufacturing Operations at Hitachi Vantara will lead and manage all aspects of the company's operations within the Global Supply Chain department. This pivotal role focuses on strategic oversight of processes, supply chain management, quality assurance, and operational efficiency to meet production goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The position requires a strong leader who can drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, encourage innovation, and improve product quality.
  • Plan and direct all aspects of the organization's policies, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Prepare and manage manufacturing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory management to ensure timely availability of materials and components.
  • Lead and mentor a team of senior leaders and staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence onsite.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
  • Communicate performance, challenges, and opportunities to the executive team and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Typically requires 15 years of experience in production operations.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale operations and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
