About the position

The Vice President of Marketing, Chief Marketing Officer will lead customer acquisition and retention strategies across various channels, including DTC, Amazon, and social media. This role involves creating strategies for channel expansion, managing a marketing budget, and refining attribution modeling while building and mentoring a team. The position requires a proactive approach to testing and learning to enhance customer acquisition and retention, ultimately driving significant revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Hire individuals, coach, develop, and mentor an existing team.
  • Accountable for managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Contribution Margin, Net Profit, MER, New Customers, CPA, Spend, Sessions, RPS, CPM, ROAS, CAC/CLTV ratio.
  • Drive strategy and execution of performance and re-engagement marketing efforts to scale growth and expand channel mix.
  • Maintain and evolve a testing framework to enhance learning across the business.
  • Report and analyze campaign performance regularly; develop insights from data.
  • Lead reporting and analytics across all channels and own the performance of relevant KPIs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience focused on customer acquisition in an eCommerce environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in performance data environments.
  • Experience with A/B testing and launching both upper and lower funnel channels at scale.
  • Direct response and branded campaign experience with proven results.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook's paid advertising platform, paid search, and affiliate marketing.
  • Agency and team management experience.
  • Experience with attribution models like Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and Multi-Channel Attribution (MCA).
  • Ability to manage a marketing budget and evaluate campaign performance effectively.
  • Experience managing at least $1.5 million/month in performance-focused paid media budget.
