About the position

The Vice President of Marketing/Fund Development is responsible for enhancing public awareness of Remedies Renewing Lives' mission, which focuses on providing domestic abuse and substance abuse services. This role involves planning, organizing, and managing fundraising initiatives, including gifts, grants, and pledges from various sources.

Responsibilities

  • Writes proposals and grants applications to prospective donors including corporate and family foundations.
  • Develops a donor relationship enhancement plan; maintains up-to-date donor/prospect records and research system.
  • Develops fundraising programs for annual support, capital projects, planned gifts, special programs, and capital campaigns.
  • Obtains high visibility within the community by attending functions and joining other groups or organizations with compatible interest/mission.
  • Develops a regular agenda of media presentations to highlight upcoming events or achievements.
  • Develops an annual plan to address the Agency's financial needs, both clinic-wide and program specific.
  • Conducts annual fundraising events to raise community awareness and support for the Agency.
  • Oversees Agency Capital Campaign.
  • Plans events to bring community leaders, media, networking agencies, and health care providers together to further develop their interest and commitment to Remedies.
  • Develops a program for long-term support that offers a full range of charitable options to strengthen Remedies' future.
  • Directs public relations and marketing presentation and activities for Remedies.
  • Coordinates staff marketing committee.
  • Presents and maintains a professional image in dress, behavior, and work habits.
  • Performs all job functions in a professional manner, consistent with confidentiality regulations, ethical practices, and Agency policies and mission.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in behavioral sciences, business, public administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively-responsible administrative experience in a multi-disciplinary, human services-providing organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking expertise.
  • Competent networking awareness and skills necessary to communicate with multiple organizations and individuals within the communities served by the Agency.
  • General knowledge of the services provided by Remedies to domestic violence victims and substance abuse clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fundraising and grant writing.
  • Familiarity with public relations and marketing strategies.
