About the position

The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy aimed at driving lead generation, brand awareness, and customer retention. This role involves leading a marketing team and collaborating closely with sales and operations to ensure that marketing initiatives align with business goals. The VP will employ a mix of digital, traditional, and grassroots marketing tactics to support the company's growth and maintain consistent messaging across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a data-driven marketing strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth.
  • Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive high-quality leads, optimizing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Oversee the development and consistent implementation of the company's brand across all marketing efforts.
  • Lead the company's digital marketing strategy, including paid advertising, content marketing, social media, and website optimization.
  • Develop loyalty programs, referral initiatives, and personalized marketing strategies to retain customers and increase lifetime value.
  • Utilize data analytics to track and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports on KPIs.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and create marketing opportunities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Support the company's geographic expansion by designing tailored marketing strategies for new service areas.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
  • Leverage customer data and market research to understand customer behavior and develop targeted marketing campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the home services or green industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, PPC, and social media.
  • Experience leading and developing a marketing team, focusing on driving performance and innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a brand while driving effective customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the turf management, lawn care, or landscaping industries.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar tools.
