About the position

The Vice President of Marketing will play a pivotal role in leading the marketing team of a high-growth home services company backed by private equity. This position requires a strategic thinker who can enhance marketing playbooks to improve execution and outcomes. The VP of Marketing will be responsible for the allocation of resources, both budgetary and human capital, to ensure successful integrations and marketing initiatives. This role involves drafting and executing company communications, taking a hands-on approach to support both internal and external partners, and developing lead-generating marketing plans tailored to specific markets or acquisitions to meet revenue targets. In collaboration with the Sales department, the VP will maximize marketing leads and oversee digital marketing partners to ensure optimal use of retainer and budget. The role also includes generating and evaluating reports to propose necessary strategy adjustments, as well as thoughtfully executing brand strategies for the platform and its acquisitions. This includes overseeing creative design to maintain brand consistency across all entities, developing a robust social media strategy, and ensuring that all online representations reflect positively on the brand. The VP of Marketing will also be responsible for onboarding, training, and managing the marketing team and vendors, fostering a positive and organized work environment. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the VP will actively participate in meetings, contributing valuable strategies and insights as the marketing leader. Setting quarterly and annual goals for the department, forecasting hiring needs, and partnering with HR to develop culture-driving programs are also key responsibilities. The ideal candidate will embody the company's mission of prioritizing employees and customers in all marketing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently evaluate and enhance Marketing Playbooks to elevate execution and outcomes
  • Strategically allocate resources - budget and human capital - to successfully carry out integrations
  • Draft and execute company communications
  • Take a 'roll up your sleeves' approach to supporting internal and external partners with execution
  • Develop lead-generating marketing plans to support each market or acquisition, as needed, to reach revenue targets
  • Partner with Sales department to maximize marketing leads
  • Oversee digital marketing partner(s) to maximize retainer and budget
  • Generate and evaluate reporting and propose strategy adjustments, where needed
  • Thoughtfully evaluate and execute appropriate brand strategy for platform and acquisitions, inclusive of branding, timing, communication and marketing approach
  • Oversee creative design to ensure it remains on brand for the company and its subsidiaries
  • Develop social media strategy and oversee execution
  • Ensure all entities are a positive reflection of the brand, including but not limited to online listings, website, social media
  • Onboard, train and manage Marketing team members and vendors
  • Create a positive, organized and high-standard environment
  • Report on behalf of platform marketing to the Board of Directors
  • Actively participate in meetings and contribute valuable strategies and insights as the Marketing leader
  • Set quarterly and annual goals for the department
  • Forecast hiring needs for the Marketing department

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Financial acumen
  • Proven track record as a successful VP of Marketing
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Private equity-backed or high-growth M&A home services experience preferred
  • Ability to thoughtfully evaluate data, think critically and draw conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Goal-oriented with a strong work ethic and a results-driven mindset
