About the position

The Vice President of Marketing will be a key leader in our organization responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and sales strategies that enhance our market position, drive revenue growth, and strengthen customer loyalty. This position will oversee all marketing and sales activities, including market research, advertising, and promotions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and sales, with experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns. In this role, the Vice President will develop and implement marketing plans, strategies, and sales initiatives that align and represent our brand. They will oversee all marketing and sales activities, including market research, daily/weekly sales data for the organization, advertising, and promotions. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure alignment of marketing and sales strategies with overall company objectives. The Vice President will take ownership of the weekly ad, analyzing its performance before and after it runs to ensure it delivers positive sales growth for the organization. The successful candidate will ensure the successful execution and analysis of all advertising and social media, leading the development of all social media platforms to guarantee they reflect our brand precisely. They will manage and mentor marketing and sales teams, conduct market research to identify trends and customer data to identify opportunities for growth, and develop and manage marketing and sales budgets. Additionally, they will administer the customer loyalty program, utilize it for effective sales strategies, and monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. The Vice President will also manage, develop, and implement our e-commerce program, handle all coordination with outside vendors for advertising and e-commerce, track and monitor donation requests, and evaluate, monitor, and implement third-party sales building programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in senior marketing and sales roles, preferably within the grocery or retail industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer data to identify opportunities for growth
  • Experience with budget management and financial analysis
