About the position

This position emphasizes a hands-on approach, requiring the VP to engage directly with the marketing team while also overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, branding, and campaign development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong balance between creative and analytical skills, demonstrating a passion for change and a customer-centric mindset. They will be expected to lead the marketing team in content creation while also utilizing various marketing tools and platforms to drive brand awareness and sales. The role requires a strategic thinker who can develop both short-term and long-term marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values. The VP will also need to maintain strong relationships with media, external agencies, and stakeholders, while preparing regular reports and updates for senior leadership, including the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness of the company, the products, and its capabilities that lead to increasing sales.
  • Spearhead the company's content creation and marketing strategies, forging alignment with organizational goals and brand value.
  • Build relationships with media, external agencies, partners and stakeholders. Prioritize marketing initiatives with senior leadership guidance and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to produce the necessary elements required for product launches and extensions.
  • Create and manage diverse content (images, video, written) across various marketing platforms.
  • Develop metrics to track the success of marketing campaigns, including trade show participation, advertising programs, educational awareness programs, and website lead analysis.
  • Conduct related market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth and expansion of our product line and sales channels.
  • Remain relevant to industry trends and innovations, while incorporating best practices into the company's marketing strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports and marketing updates for review by senior leadership and CEO level.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in marketing roles demonstrating growth in responsibility and roles.
  • Demonstrable successes in transitioning a company towards a digital marketing platform such as HubSpot or Marketo.
  • Experience working successfully with strong willed leaders.
  • Background in a manufacturing company or industrial products firm is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills are required, extending beyond the marketing department.
  • Demonstrated skills in visual communications, campaign management, and digital marketing.
  • Must possess a strategic mindset and be able to develop both short-term and long-term marketing initiatives for the continued success of the company.
