About the position

The VP & Head of Marketing, Americas is responsible for leading market development and marketing strategy in the Americas Region. This role focuses on driving new orders, profitability, and market share growth for Elekta's product solutions portfolio through effective marketing strategies, sales enablement initiatives, and collaboration with regional sales and marketing teams. The position also involves identifying growth opportunities, managing product launches, and ensuring the voice of the customer is reflected in strategic plans.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing VPs and Directors to devise effective marketing strategies in the Americas region.
  • Identify business development opportunities and optimize revenue streams to drive growth.
  • Partner with global business line management teams to provide core product marketing assets to sales teams.
  • Manage deal escalation and implement pricing strategies to achieve profitability targets.
  • Guide sales teams in targeting key market segments and customer personas.
  • Develop market expertise and insights to translate trends into actionable marketing opportunities.
  • Drive go-to-market marketing plans for new product releases and coordinate launches.
  • Consolidate market and competitive dynamics for strategic guidance to sales teams.
  • Design and deliver sales enablement content and tools aligned with the buyer's journey.
  • Gather feedback from sales on customer needs and success criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (clinical or business oriented) or equivalent knowledge acquired through business experience.
  • At least 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the medical devices industry.
  • Successful sales, marketing, and negotiation experience.
  • Experience in capital medical equipment sales and marketing is highly meritorious.
  • Solid knowledge of the medical devices industry, particularly in Radiation Oncology & Neuroscience.
  • Strong leadership and team performance development capabilities in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and experience covering a broader region.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other relevant languages is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer tools and IT skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Digital marketing proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience in managing marketing communications and social media strategies.
