About the position

The Vice President of Marketing at Ortho Development Corporation is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and execution. This position requires collaboration with the executive team and key stakeholders to develop comprehensive marketing initiatives that align with corporate strategy. The role involves overseeing all marketing functions, including product management, marketing communications, and market research, with a focus on the orthopedic industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company's business objectives and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, and Operations to ensure alignment of plans and initiatives to increase market penetration and generate sales.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analyses to guide strategic focus and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the total joint recon market landscape, including market trends and customer needs.
  • Develop KPIs to effectively measure and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Provide strategic leadership of the Company's Product Development Committee (PDC).
  • Work closely with sales leadership to support the sales process with content, programs, and tools.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion-leader clinicians and distributors.
  • Oversee the development of content that engages and educates target audiences.
  • Lead the messaging, strategy, and targeting for industry trade shows and events.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing plans, including market analysis and promotional planning.
  • Manage the marketing development efforts to bring new products from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop a clear brand strategy to increase brand awareness and support sales growth.
  • Enhance the company's online and offline presence, including website and social media.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the marketing team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years marketing leadership experience within the orthopedic industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies and executing product launches in the medical device industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated success in leading product management teams.
  • Strong experience with digital marketing, social media, and content marketing strategies in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Action-oriented, innovative mindset with the capability to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong project management leadership capability.
  • Strong experience with strategy, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
