About the position

The Vice President of Marketing at Sellmark is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and execution of the company's marketing initiatives. This position is designed to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth through innovative marketing strategies. The VP of Marketing will lead a dynamic team and collaborate with cross-functional departments, working closely with senior leadership to ensure that marketing efforts align with the overall business goals of the organization. In this role, the VP of Marketing will develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company's business objectives and growth goals. The individual will lead and inspire the marketing team to achieve targets in brand development, demand generation, customer engagement, and retention. A key responsibility will be overseeing the development and execution of brand positioning, messaging, and identity across all channels, ensuring brand consistency in all marketing communications and initiatives to build and maintain strong brand recognition and reputation in the market. The VP will also be responsible for developing and managing the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. This includes driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through multi-channel marketing campaigns, which encompass digital marketing, content marketing, social media, and traditional marketing channels. The role requires optimizing the marketing funnel to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and customer retention. Conducting market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape will be essential, as will utilizing data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, optimize performance, and inform decision-making. Regular reporting on marketing performance to senior leadership will be a critical task, as will building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing marketing team. The VP of Marketing will foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the team, setting clear goals and objectives, and regularly reviewing performance to identify opportunities for professional development and training for team members. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing, brand management, and market research.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform marketing decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in the hunting/shooting industry is preferred.
