About the position

The Vice President of Marketing at Elekta is responsible for leading market development and marketing strategy in the Americas region. This role involves driving new orders, profitability, and market share growth through the execution of marketing strategies, sales enablement initiatives, and collaboration with regional sales and marketing teams. The VP will also focus on customer segmentation, strategic pricing, product positioning, and the commercialization of new products, ensuring that the voice of the customer is reflected in global strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Devise effective marketing and market development strategies to achieve new order budgets and profitability targets.
  • Identify business development opportunities and optimize revenue streams for growth in the Americas region.
  • Co-create core product marketing assets with global business line management teams to support effective product positioning.
  • Manage deal escalation and implement pricing strategies to achieve profitability targets.
  • Guide sales teams in understanding and targeting key market segments and customer personas.
  • Develop market expertise and insights using customer segmentation to translate trends into actionable marketing opportunities.
  • Drive go-to-market marketing plans for new product releases and coordinate regional launches.
  • Consolidate market and competitive dynamics to provide strategic guidance to sales and marketing teams.
  • Design and deliver sales activation and enablement tools that align with the buyer's journey.
  • Gather feedback from sales on customer needs and communicate success criteria to business partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events and manage marketing communications throughout the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a clinical or business-oriented field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in capital medical equipment sales and marketing.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in the medical devices industry, particularly in Radiation Oncology & Neuroscience.
  • Strong leadership and team performance development capabilities in a diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer tools and IT skills, with digital marketing proficiency as a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team player at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the medical devices industry, particularly in Radiation Oncology & Neuroscience clinical environments.
  • Fluency in languages relevant to the Americas region.
