About the position

As the Vice President of Marketing at Visual Edge IT, you will be at the forefront of our marketing strategies and initiatives, driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This pivotal role requires you to report directly to the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) and will involve shaping the company's marketing vision, positioning, and execution strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans that align with our business objectives, including lead generation, brand building, and customer retention. In this role, you will manage the marketing budget, which encompasses staff, services, sponsorships, events, travel, licenses, and related activities at both corporate and regional levels. You will build and lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to implement marketing initiatives that align with the company's strategy and plan. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating and supporting the development of the VEIT business strategy and annual plan, as well as providing input for quarterly board communications. You will manage relationships with marketing agencies, service providers, and contractors to ensure effective content creation, analytics, and event support. Identifying and evaluating sponsorships and marketing partners will be crucial to driving brand awareness and customer engagement. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, will be essential to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives that align with business systems and platforms. Conducting market research and analysis will help you identify emerging trends, assess customer needs, measure satisfaction, and monitor competition. You will oversee the development of marketing collateral, digital assets, and promotional materials to support sales efforts and enhance brand visibility. Additionally, managing the company's digital presence, including website optimization, social media strategy, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns, will be part of your responsibilities. You will also coordinate customer and sales events, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled effectively. Monitoring and analyzing key performance metrics will be vital, as you will provide regular reports and insights to executive leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies will enable you to continuously improve and optimize marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to achieve business objectives, including lead generation, brand building, and customer retention.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget including staff, services, sponsorships, events, travel, licenses, and related activities at corporate and regional levels.
  • Build and lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to implement marketing initiatives and ongoing support in alignment with company strategy and plan.
  • Coordinate and support VEIT business strategy development and annual plan.
  • Provide input and support for quarterly board communications.
  • Manage marketing agencies, service providers, and contractors for content, analytics, lists, events, and other support.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage sponsorships and marketing partners to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and operations, to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives and integrate with business systems and platforms.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, assess customer needs, measure satisfaction, monitor competition, and develop insights and recommendations.

  • Coordinate and oversee the company's e-Commerce and e-Enablement initiatives to extend reach, improve customer experience, and drive revenue and efficiency.
  • Oversee the coordination of customer events (webinars, open houses, conferences, private) and sales events (kick-off, President's Club) including agenda, speakers, venue, food & beverage, travel.
  • Identify and connect with media and market influencers to promote brand awareness and positioning.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to executive leadership to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and marketing innovations to continuously improve and optimize marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the Information Technology industry.
  • A minimum of 5+ years marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles, preferably within the technology or B2B services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic plans that drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques to inform decision-making and measure marketing performance.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for design and branding aesthetics.
