About the position

The Vice President of Multifamily Operations is responsible for overseeing the operations of a multifamily community portfolio, ensuring effective management of personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial administration, and risk management. This role involves leading a team of Regional Managers to maximize occupancy levels, property values, and compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines. The Vice President will work from the Dallas, TX office and manage a multi-state portfolio, focusing on driving value through leadership and innovative business strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operations of the multifamily community portfolio.
• Ensure properties operate within established budget guidelines.
• Monitor and maximize profitability across the portfolio.
• Conduct ongoing training and development for Regional Managers.
• Mentor middle management and create measurable goals for success.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Manage the timely receipt and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Develop yearly operating budgets and provide financial evaluations.
• Understand market trends and client requirements to maximize satisfaction.
• Complete all required training courses.

Requirements

• Experience in on-site multifamily property management.
• Direct management experience with a successful track record.
• Strong personnel management skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and on-site rental systems.
• Ability to develop relationships at a senior level.

Nice-to-haves
