About the position

The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operations management and business development. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. The Vice President of Operations will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with other senior leaders to ensure alignment with the company's strategic vision.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall performance of Operations Department.
  • Oversee business development, work acquisitions, and execution by all groups and business units within the operations department.
  • Work with operations group and business unit managers on performance and operations, providing guidance on difficult issues.
  • Review all major, difficult, and legal issues within the operations department.
  • Ensure group and business unit managers keep the Vice President informed of major developments and concerns.
  • Develop, train, implement, and enforce standard policies and procedures for the operations department.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to ensure adequate staffing and service provision to the operations department.
  • Participate in the interview process for key hires.
  • Conduct monthly project management meetings to review and resolve major performance and financial issues.
  • Responsible for strategic planning and long-range business development for the operations department.
  • Ensure overall customer satisfaction and maintain relationships with both external and internal customers.
  • Review employee performance review forms to ensure proper personnel interface within the operations department.
  • Manage overall employee compensation and bonus administration within the operations department.
  • Address concerns from other department managers related to the performance of the operations department.
  • Assist with corporate marketing needs.
  • Provide leadership mentoring, coaching, guidance, and support for all operations department personnel.
  • Accountable for the overall financial performance of the operations department.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of experience in operations management or related field.
  • Master's degree from a college or university or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
