About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to oversee our clients' operational activities and drive efficiency and growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading successful operations within the electrical space. This position will be based in the Northern California area and will have 200-300 field team members reporting into it. This role will require a leader with experience managing and running $120-125 million in revenue overall. The Vice President of Operations will play a critical role in shaping the operational strategy and ensuring that the company meets its objectives in a competitive market. In this role, you will manage and optimize operational processes to enhance productivity and efficiency. You will successfully lead and execute all sales and operational initiatives, developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve company objectives. Overseeing project management activities will be essential to ensure timely completion of projects, and you will work closely with general contractors to communicate project goals effectively. Providing senior leadership and guidance to the operations team will be a key responsibility, as will driving business development efforts to expand market presence. Additionally, you will negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and partners to ensure favorable terms for the company.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management at a senior level preferably in electrical or construction
  • A minimum of five years' experience working in senior leadership roles
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills
  • Excellent project management abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and build strong partnerships
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred
